Ghana Water Ltd. Shake-Up: Northern Regional Managers Transferred In Major Reshuffle
Ghana Water Ltd. is reportedly undergoing a major reshuffle of key personnel in its Northern Regional operations, with several senior officers being transferred to other regions and the company’s head office in Accra.
According to a report by Radio Justice 98.5 MHz, the changes affect senior officials responsible for distribution, finance, human resources and customer service.
The report indicates that Alhaji Baba Abukari Alhassan, the Northern Regional Distribution Manager, has been transferred to the company’s Head Office in Accra.
Also affected is Mr. Ibrahim, identified as the Northern Regional Finance Manager, who has reportedly been transferred to Kumasi.
Meanwhile, Somed Alhassan, who serves as the District Customer Care Officer in Yendi, has reportedly been transferred to the Western Region.
The report further states that the Northern Regional Human Resource Manager has also been transferred to Wa.
The reported changes represent a significant movement of personnel within Ghana Water Ltd.'s regional administrative structure and could lead to changes in the management of operations and customer services across the Northern Region.

The transfers were reported by Radio Justice 98.5 MHz, but Global Pulse GH has not yet located an official Ghana Water Ltd. communication publicly confirming the full list of transfers.
Ghana Water Ltd. has been undertaking several major interventions to improve water supply and infrastructure across northern Ghana. In June 2026, the company said it was deepening stakeholder engagement for the Tamale–Damongo Water Supply Project, involving authorities and stakeholders in the Savannah and Northern Regions.
The company has also recently undertaken major infrastructure maintenance elsewhere in the country, including the replacement of weak sections of the Kpong–Tema transmission pipelines.
