BREAKING: Full NPP Savannah Regional Election Results Emerge

DAMONGO, Savannah Region — Provisional results from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Savannah Regional Executive Elections have emerged, with Alhaji Iddrisu Sulemana retaining the regional chairmanship after a closely fought contest.

Sulemana secured 92 votes, defeating Dr Clifford Abdallah Braimah, who polled 88 votes.

The four-vote margin made the chairmanship race one of the closest contests in the Savannah Region.

The results, released on Saturday, August 15, 2026, are explicitly described as provisional.

Sulemana's 92 votes put him just four votes ahead of Dr Braimah, who secured 88 votes.

Among those declared elected are Aboagye Kwame, Johnson Kwame Gyinde, Seidu Ayuba, Sumani Inusah, Ali Abubakar, Mohammed Fatahia, Mohammed Shiraz-Deen, Alpha Omar Yakubu and Adam Mohammed Mansuru.

Raphael Mahama Akati was the sole candidate for the Organiser position and was therefore declared unopposed.
